Introducing Belly Tanks or Sub-Base Tanks, designed to cater to your fuel storage and transportation requirements. Our tanks are engineered to address the most critical fuel storage and transportation issues.
Also known as Sub-Base Tanks, the Belly Tanks are usually located below a generator that runs on diesel fuel oil. These tanks are reinforced to withstand the weight of the generator and the fuel required to power it.
The advantages of a sub-base tank are numerous. Firstly, it saves floor space associated with a freestanding day tank, which is especially essential for a completely enclosed outdoor generator kit. Secondly, the engine draws directly from the tank, minimizing the piping costs and performance risks associated with a suction pipe.
Our tanks are designed with a focus on capacity to hold the required amount of fuel for your specific application. The sub-base tank is specially designed for outdoor generators, allowing them to store up to 48 hours of run-time fuel.
Durability is a top priority for us, and our tanks are built to withstand the rigors of use, including vibration, impact, and exposure to the elements. Corrosion resistance is also critical, which is why our tanks are designed to resist corrosion from the fuel and any other chemicals it may come into contact with.
Safety is paramount, and our tanks are designed to prevent leaks and minimize the risk of fire or explosion. Protecting people and the environment from the possible dangers of toxic and highly combustible substances is essential. Our tanks are not only safe but also cost-effective, functional, and durable.
Our tanks are compatible with a wide range of fuel types and additives, ensuring that you can use them with confidence. We also ensure that our tanks comply with all applicable regulations and standards for fuel storage and transportation.
Single Wall and Double Wall Fuel Tanks
Single-wall tanks only have one shell encasing the fuel, whereas double-wall tanks have an inner shell surrounded by a second, larger containment shell.
Every fuel tank requires secondary containment that will prevent fuel from entering the environment. This safety feature has to be built into the storage site for a single-wall tank, as it is not present in the tank itself. This is called external bunding. Specialist civil engineering is necessary for this construction.
A double-wall tank has an interstitial space between the two walls that fulfills the function of secondary containment in the event of leakage. No external containment safety feature is required in the storage site. For this reason, a double-wall tank is referred to as a self-bunded tank. It’s a tank within a tank.
In terms of storage, double-wall tanks are safer than single-wall tanks, and also suitable for the transportation of fuel.
When you choose our belly tank or sub-base fuel tank, you can be confident that you are getting a top-quality product designed to meet your needs. Don't settle for anything less than the best - choose our tanks for your fuel storage and transportation needs.
