Silencer
ISTIQ Silencers are designed to reduce noise generated by airflow, exhaust gas, ventilation systems, engines, blowers, fans, ducts, vents, and industrial equipment. A silencer reduces sound energy as air or gas passes through it, while still allowing the system to operate with acceptable airflow and pressure drop.
Different noise sources require different silencer designs. An exhaust system may need an Exhaust Silencer to reduce engine noise from generators or industrial equipment. A ventilation system may require a Duct Silencer or Vent Silencer to control noise traveling through air paths. A blower or fan system may require a Blower Silencer, while an Acoustic Louver can help reduce noise through intake or discharge openings. For exhaust systems where sparks may be present, a Spark Arrestor may also be required.
A good silencer is not selected by size alone. The design must consider noise level, frequency spectrum, airflow rate, gas temperature, pressure drop, velocity, available space, material selection, maintenance access, and installation arrangement. If the silencer is undersized, it may create excessive pressure drop. If it is poorly selected, the noise reduction may not meet the project requirement.
ISTIQ provides practical silencer solutions for generator sets, exhaust systems, ventilation systems, blowers, fans, ducts, industrial plants, factories, utilities, data centers, mechanical rooms, and process equipment. Our experience covers acoustic design, fabrication, supply, installation support, testing, and commissioning, depending on the project requirement.
